Questions You Should Ask Your Doctor
The Learning Curve
We provide dedicated, continuous support throughout all your treatment and after care. Our advanced nurse practitioner, Nula Allen, is able to answer your questions, deal with any concerns and address any problems which arise following your treatment. This high standard of specialist after care is at the centre of our service.
We recognise the value of sharing experiences with patients who have already been treated. A Patient Support Group has been established at Birmingham Prostate Clinic. Patients attending the clinic and patients treated elsewhere are very welcome, along with family and friends. Meetings take place on Tuesday evenings every fourth Tuesday of each month at the Spire Parkway Hospital in Solihull. Sessions cover all aspects of dealing with prostate cancer, including treatment options and lifestyle and feature invited speakers. Mike Ince, a member of the support group, explains: “Men can be very reluctant to talk about their illness. The biggest problem is the word ‘cancer’. Unlike other medical problems, the consultant will not tell you which treatment you should have – there are four or five options. I would urge men and their families to come to the support group and reap the benefits of meeting other people who are facing the same issues.” For more information, please contact the Birmingham Prostate Clinic on Tel: 0870 225 0885 or mail@birminghamprostateclinic.co.uk
We welcome patients from throughout the UK and overseas. Located at the centre of the UK, the Birmingham Prostate Clinic is easily accessible through the road and rail network. For more information about travel to Birmingham and accommodation within the city see:
